Tonight at 8pm ET: Film Club - "The Occupation of the American Mind" + Talkback w/ Sut Jhally

Hi everyone,

We’re live at 8pm ET for a special edition of our dissident film club.

We’re excited to present The Occupation of the American Mind, a 2016 documentary by Loretta Alper and Jeremy Earp which explores the machinery of pro-Israel propaganda in the United States throughout decades of conflict and strife. The film is narrated by Roger Waters and features exclusive interviews with Max Blumenthal, Norman Finkelstein, Noam Chomsky, and others, including professor Sut Jhally, who will join us for a talkback after the screening of the film.

In addition to being a Professor Emeritus at UMass Amherst, Sut Jhally is the founder and executive director of the Media Education Foundation, which produces and distributes documentary films and other educational materials dissecting the political and cultural impact of American mass media.
