There is so much confusion on the JCPOA (Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action) and the non-proliferation treaty (NPT).

Iran has signed onto both. The JCPOA offered enhanced provisions, primarily inspection, to the NPT. When Trump tore it up Iran could abrogate the JCPOA but not the NPT. If Iran followed the JCPOA, it would receive sanctions relief. But Trump dismissing it wholesale, the implementing secondary sanctions on Iran, meant Europe was powerless. Iran then decided that since IAEA inspections went beyond formal reports; they were passing information to the CIA and Mossad. So why comply as Trump is a worthless negotiator. 

Bottom line, I saw Aaron Mate skirt this on Judge Napolitano because YES, Iran is in violation of the NPT but since Israel refuses to participate it becomes a difficult argument to make.

Here’s how I see the Ted Cruz story. 

AIPAC demands a US Senator go deal with Tucker. The Democrats play the “we cannot legitimize” Tucker. So, it falls on the Republicans. It is winnowed down to Tom Cotton, Lindsey Graham, and Ted Cruz. Cotton is too important since as Chair of Intelligence, he is a conduit Mossad and cannot be sullied. So, it’s a coin flip. Ted becomes the man. 

Ted Cruz went on Tucker for two reasons: 1) give Tucker a chance to get back in Trump’s good graces and 2) submit to Israel to get off the antisemite list. Of course it was a debacle. He called AIPAC a political action committee when it is “American-Israel Public Affairs Committee”. 

Finally, two things 1) Israel will “purchase” weapons but never pay for them leaving Congress the bill and 2) The majority of his funding comes from Evangelical Christians who are a solid voting bloc.
