A fun Mafia story. Robert Kennedy had it in for Carlos Marcello. In frustration he deported him to Guatemala "in the middle of the night". Carlos had to walk through the jungle for days. By the time he got to a phone he was sicker than hell. He made it back to New Orleans.
In the end he got the last laugh. For 20 years he never missed a meeting with immigration and his citizenship or his legal right to be here was never an issue.
